The Swedish press are reporting that the couple may be on the verge of splitting up and haven't been seen at public events together since last year
Best is to have them both married at the same day....save alot of taxpayers' money, good for media....and lots of publicity if that's what they are looking for. 2 birds in one stone.
Not happy to have my tax contributions to be spend this way, rather be more happy if the money is use for social workand the homeless. Anyway royal family are loaded. Whatever they get for monthly alllowance and expenses is much more than majority of the people living and earning per month for a whole year.
There are two questions here. Do you want to be governed this way? What are the costs and benefits? Don't mix them up.
Your royal family is not so expensive - you would still have to keep the palaces up if they weren't there to decorate them. They aren't monsters. There are serious questions about the wisdom of a congenital aristocracy, but the same questions could be asked about media barons, I guess.
well, i was once told by a fourteen year old from djursholm that she lived in the "best neighborhood" and that she was "the cleanest child" in her school. so perhaps it is this cleanest child standard that keeps djursholm exclusive! didn't one of the other posts say peropaco should wash his/her face? see, it's that clean theme again...
furthermore, i agree with peropaco. poo poo on elitism. there's so much to love in lovely sweden, but i'm also discovering i so love french attitude! it's so very often just what i was thinking! vive la france! :)
I think they would say let's have a big Wedding and show off the country to the tourists.
