A general physician working in Jämtland in the north of Sweden has been charged with trying to French kiss and fondle a patient who a suffers from a moderate mental disability.

The 49-year-old physician has now been charged by Östersund district court for sexual molestation.

"Word stands against word, which is nothing unusual. As the woman went straight out and told a nurse and another doctor what had happened, I maintain that there is supporting evidence thanks to their testimony," said chief prosecutor Eva Lena Rimér to the Dagens Medicin newspaper.

The incident is alleged to have occurred in March 2010 when the woman approached her local clinic complaining of stomach pains.

In her report to the police she claims that the physician began his examination by listening to her heart, followed by stroking her breasts in a manner which she found uncomfortable. He then proceeded to examine her rectally and vaginally.

When the woman was set to leave the examination room the doctor moved towards her to give her a hug but instead kissed her on the mouth. When the patient resisted, the doctor is alleged to have tried to kiss her again using his tongue.

The physician denies the allegations claiming to be "shocked and distressed" by his predicament, the newspaper reported.

Yep, people often feel shocked and distressed when they get caught.

"Word stands against word,"

And naturally, they'll take the doctors word. Even if there wasn't the "mental disability" the fact that the patient is a woman goes against her. We all know how women are treated here in Sweden and how they're believed, or should I say disbelieved?

And that brings us to Assange going to court.... is it tomorrow?

Any exams should be made in the presense of a nurse.

Stomach pain has nothing to do to lead to examine her rectally and vaginally, how should he justify that....a GP opinion!!!

All I can say is, "Yuck!".

Where was the nurse....

Here in the States there is by law always a nurse and a doctor present while the patient is being examined to try and prevent this from happening to people when they see the doctor.

The legal system adores child molesters, rapist, pimping mentally disadvantaged teenage girl, wife beater if the wife is foreigner and the husband a Swede, parking space rage-punching old lady to death, fundamentalists, extortionist. You can pretty much commit any crime and get away square clean in Sweden with the exception of tax crime of course.
