REFLECTIONS OF A TWITTER VIRGIN…. »
"I confess to having been reluctant to embrace Twitter. But I confess myself a bit of a convert. The great TV critic Clive James once said about “Dallas”, “I came to mock but I stayed to pray”. I wouldn’t go that far, but I have found my first two weeks on Twitter (@hmapauljohnston) both fun and informative. It’s been..." READ »

You cant understand what is evil.
Believe it or not, it would be more effective than sanction. Sanctions just affect Iranians, who don't have the right to protest, but an effective political isolation from many countries will harm Islamic republic.
If Israel wasn't armed to the teeth (by the US) then Iran wouldn't feel threatened enough to build it's weapons. It's cause and effect.
Trouble is if you clamp down on any nation, its military or its people too much and give them nothing to lose, then you will have war.
Truthfully though, would you sleep better at night if you knew countries like Iran or North Korea had nukes?
Are you shure Iran has nuclear weapons? We had the same story in Irak - just reason for destroy country. USA lying and europens puppies (like Carl Bildt) just repeat this lie.
the difference is israel has had nukes for 50+ years and hasn't used them. if iran gets a bomb it will be used asap. they can not be allowed to do this. period.
1-The embassy of every country is the legal territory of that country wherever it is and nobody can let inside without legal permission. This is clear and the government and police should be highly blamed for sure.
2-Those who attacked the British Embassy in Tehran are not students, but members of "Basij" (pro government vigilante group) and revolutionary guards personnel in civil clothes. If your ignorant media are referring to them as students please keep in mind that the real Iranian students are not in front of British embassy but they are in prison for more than 2 years, or have immigrated to the west to escape these savages, or if they are still in Iran they will soon join one of the two groups mentioned earlier!
don't you see these students!!! wore military boots!? and police daren't even touch them?!
If students in Iran had that much power their president would be someone like martin luther :)
Talking about sleeping relax at night, knowing America and his capacity to do evil, I can't sleep at night.
".... Japan was going to surrender eitherway."
You really need to listen more carefully during your history class. Surrender had not been discussed at any level of the Japanese government of militiary before Hiroshima and Nagasagi. Even after the Emporer's decision to surrender, a powerful clique of senior Japananese officers very nearly conducted a coup to "rescue" the Emporer from his poor decision and fight on.
The two nuclear bombs were dropped on Japan for a different reason. Ask your history teacher what that was.
And if history is to be used as evidence of nations abusiveness, look at what Isreal has been doing to the Palestinians, what the US did to Japan and its own native Americans, what Europeans did to their colonies, how the Spanish wiped out entire populations in Latin America, etc. You won't find a single abuse in Iran's history that matchs what has been committed by the nations who claim to have the moral authority to set the standards. So on what moral ground do you argue that one has to be allowed to have nukes and the other have to be punished for having the "intention"?
There is a huge drug addition problem and prostitution is widespread. The mutta or temporary marriage in acceptable in Shia Iran.
Young people cannot dress as they want and have to be controlled by so called Moral Police.
There are no human rights in Iran - Muslims cannot convert from Islam and the handful of Jews in Iran who have been there from the year dot are token.
This is an example of what many Muslims regard like Saudi as the ultimate Islamic state. A terrifying thought but a true one nevertheless.
