were u gun down by immigrants?
or is it just tdrug dealers?
Sounds like they should just build a big wall around that part of Malmo and seal it off from the rest of the country.
The Immigrants have no education, and about as much environmental responsibility as my dog. Therefore we should help them like we help our dogs, Get them FIXED before they set foot in Sweden!!! This should be mandatory!! as they have already shown that they are Malignant Breeders!!!
They are no longer in touch with reality.
Difficult to sympathise with the voters as long as they let the status quo continue.
Consider yourself lucky!
This is one of our headlines here in Chicago today since it's the end of month.;
"Chicago Homicides Up 50 Percent"
"Police Chief Garry McCarthy told the Tribune that there have been 40 murders this month in the Windy City, up from 26 in January of 2011. According to police records, the increase in homicides continues the same violent streak that held the city hostage at the end of last year."
We are having a very mild winter, usually we'll get about 10 days of -20f temps in January and we didn't get that at all. We need it cold to freeze the triggers.
I realize your not used to it (not yet at least). A few weeks back I pulled into a McDonalds drivethru and instead of being greeted by "May I take your order" the voice whispered "Oh my god, we are being robbed, please call 911". I did, they escaped, but apparently the police got enough of a description that they didn't get far and they were caught. So that was a good thing.
Once upon a time crime was concentrated in the housing projects but they were demolished and 'scattered site' housing replaced it, spreading crime all over the city.
I agree that any homicides is too much, but at least numerically, your not too bad compared to other places.
Who would have thought that?
Set up a site with Ghetto safari tours in Malmo.
What you're forgetting is that Chicago has a population of 9.8 million (higher than the country of Sweden), while Malmö has 300 000 residents. Going by murder rate, that's higher than for Chicago.
One cannot help to recognise the hopelessness and dis-association on the faces of the police who seem worlds away from the realities that confront them in their work...if only hope was a strategy....
the violence will not go away, spend all the money you want.....send all the police you like....the city will burn
He wasn't, but these people were, so it's obvious that it affects him.
@SecondGen, I know we have MORE deaths in America, but this used to be a very peaceful country, but now it is being gripped by violence, soon after the arrival of all these immigrants from one region of the world. I think it's fair to blame it not on immigrants in general, but these ones.
@Vill
Yes, we Canadians are a very violent lot.
Hi, Chicago has a population of 2.9 million, a little less than 10 times that of Malmo, but we have more than 10 times the homicides (at least for January 2012). Your quoting for the metropolitan area, which has about the same population as Sweden. There are homicides in the burbs too, but they don't get nearly as high as in the city.
@sureiam
U.S. homicides clearing rates are less than 50% so I wouldn't look to the FBI as anyones savior. They just help enforce TSA agents strip searching 80 year old ladies at the airport.
I had hoped to go visit Sweden this year but my wife is looking to push off the visit for a year, it was a nice country when I was there last. The world is far more violent. Not just in Sweden, but all over I'm afraid.
Islam - the religion of peace where everyone is equal and peace is the only way :-)
See how much you can learn, Sweden :-)
And that makes it even worse.
