That will never happen because the Palestinians don't want peace. Only a fool would think that. As well, it's pretty hard to negotiate when a terrorist group is in control of the region.
Also, just like BillyB said, Assad wouldn't care what some Swedish diplomat said.
He might be waiting for another 6000 people to get killed!
That at least is an act of stabilizing the position.
This. Sweden should be SWEDISH. They are the only ones with brains, I figured out after reading your comment. I had never heard of them before, but they seem like the only party who wants Sweden to remain a European country instead of a Middle Eastern one.
US [has been] training and ARMING 'opposition forces for the last TEN months.
A former employee with the US FBI said (in Dec 9th, 2011) that American and NATO forces are training Syrian rebels in southeastern Turkish city of Hakkari. Sibel Edmonds also said that she had received information from Turkish and US sources indicating that training Syrian opposition forces, led by defected Syrian colonel Riad al-Assad, had started in May, of 2011 the Turkish daily Milliyet reported.
"The United States appears to be using a strategy in Syria that it has perfected over the years, having succeeded most recently in Libya:
arming small paramilitary groups loyal to U.S. interests that claim to speak for the local population; these militants then attack the targeted government the U.S. would like to see overthrown — including terrorist bombings — and when the attacked government defends
itself, the U.S. cries "genocide" or "mass murder," while calling for foreign military intervention.
its ironic .. that you support the dictators throughout the time and suddenly when you think they are not of any use .. you overthrow them !
Iraq, Libya, and now Syria and Iran - the list will grow in the future beware KSA and others ! be obedient to the masters else you will be overthrown , keep on serving your masters interests !
