Anti-corruption unit now permanent

The controversial National Unit against Corruption Crimes changed status from "on a trial basis" to "permanent" on 1 January. The unit is now to be strengthened and additional personnel recruited to work under its present head, Christer van der Kwast.

Insider law "has loopholes"

Owing to a loophole in the Insider Act, insiders in listed companies have been able to conceal their shareholdings. It appears that capital insurance plans are being sold to insiders using the argument that their holdings won’t appear in the insider statistics.
