Airport "terrorist" was pilot
Police evacuated Karlstad airport in central Sweden for several hours on Friday after a suspected suicide bomber was reported to be in the building, but it turned out to be a false alarm, police said.
"The bomb alert has been lifted. Now we are trying to track down the person who called" in the report, police spokeswoman Yvonne Carlsten told AFP.
Police said an unidentified person inside the building called airport officials to report that a suspicious-looking man dressed in civilian clothes was walking through a restricted area carrying luggage.
The caller said he believed the man's bags could contain a bomb.
The airport was evacuated for several hours as police carried out a search.
The man in question turned out to be a pilot authorized to enter the restricted area, police said.
