Swedish GDP continues rising

Sweden's gross domestic product rose 1.0% in the third quarter compared to the previous three-month period, according to seasonally adjusted figures published by Statistics Sweden on Tuesday.
Compared to the year-ago quarter, Swedish GDP jumped 3.4%, the statistics agency said.
"It was above all an increase in investments and higher consumer spending that contributed to the GDP increase" over the past year, the agency said.
In the second quarter of 2005, Swedish GDP rose by 0.8% compared to the previous quarter.
