Record results for Boliden
Swedish mining company Boliden AB, which is due to release its final results for 2005 in two weeks' time, said it will report a fourth-quarter pretax profit of 1.57 billion kronor, up sharply from 352 million a year earlier.
"As the result considerably exceeds market expectations, we have decided to publish the result ahead of plan," said Boliden.
The company said the fourth quarter was its "best ever" as a result of high metal prices.
For the full year, the company will report pretax profits of 2.80 billion kronor, up from 1.37 bln in the previous year.
Boliden's full-year result will be published on February 6th.
