CityMail to expand in Sweden

CityMail, owned by the Norwegian postal service, Posten, has announced expansion plans in the Gothenburg, Öresund and Mälardalen regions. The company needs 100 new postal delivery workers and 10 managers, according to a press release.

“By expanding in western and southern Sweden we are strengthening our position in the Swedish market,” said Mats Forsberg, deputy managing director at CityMail.

“That increases competition, which will help all Swedish firms in the form of improved service levels, increased delivery certainty and reduced prices.”

After the expansion, CityMail said it will be able to reach up to two million households in Sweden.
