Body parts found in Stockholm water
Human body parts were found floating in the water of Norr Mälarstrand in Stockholm on Monday night.
A couple at a restaurant called police after they noticed a thigh bone in the water just a few feet away from the beach. When they took a second look, they saw a pair of jeans with two human legs.
Only the bones remained, from the hip to the knee. Police said the body has probably been in the water since last fall.
“Before the body parts undergo forensic investigation, there is no classification on this. It could be a crime or something else,” said Eva Nilsson, Stockholm police spokeswoman.
Police continued searching the beach in the area during the night looking for additional body parts.
