Rocks crash through summerhouse roof

A man sitting in his sofa, reading at his summerhouse on Wednesday was surprised when chunks of stone came crashing through his walls, windows, and roof.
Construction company NCC was demolishing rock near to the house in Ängsholmen, near Eskilstuna. The firm was laying a sewer pipe, but was unable to control the debris.
“I heard it going on,” said Mats Ohlin. “I ran out with the phone in my hand because I was sure somebody must have been hurt.”
The man was uninjured by the airborne debris. The cause of the failed explosion is not known, but the case has been reported as a worksite accident and will be investigated.
