Malmö man jailed for shooting
A 27-year-old man was sentenced to eight years in prison on Tuesday for the killing of a man in a square in central Malmö earlier this year.
The killer was originally supposed to face murder charges, but was eventually found guilty of manslaughter. The man reported himself to police and admitted to the shooting death at Gustav Adolf Square.
The 27-year-old said he did not know the victim, but had met the 23-year-old victim the night before outside of a hamburger stand. He said he had not planned on the murder.
