78-year-old woman arrested for Halmstad fires

A 78-year old woman has been arrested on suspicion of starting a total of five fires in Halmstad this morning.
Seven police patrols were put in place to search for the pyromaniac.
Fires were lit in four shops and an old people's home before police caught up with the woman. Though none of the fires caused any major damage the Åhléns department store needed to be evacuated after clothes there were set on fire.
All the fires were extinguised quickly and nobody was injured.
"There are strong indications that the fires were intentional," said Tina Nordlund, deputy head of the rescue operation.
Two years ago, almost to the day, a series of similar arson attacks were carried out in Halmstad. On that occasion police did not find the perpetrator.
