Man convicted of raping daughter

A 44-year old man from Vetlanda, southern Sweden, raped and molested his own daughter, Eksjö district court ruled on Monday.
The assaults began when the girl, then aged 10, went to live with her father after he divorced her mother. The court found the man guilty of sexual exploitation of a minor and of child rape.
The social services in Vetlanda were severely criticized by the county administrative board in Jönköping for the way the family’s situation was handled.
The man was sentenced to a psychiatric treatment.
