An 18-year-old man from Hedemora, central Sweden, has been remanded in custody by a court in Falun, suspected of the murder of his parents.

Police are still refusing to give any information about the motive of the man, who has admitted to the killings.

"We are still investigating that," said Bo Persson of Dalarna Police.

Information about the weapon used to kill the couple is also not being released. The investigation team plans to wait for preliminary results from post-mortem examinations before making any statements.

The pair's bodies were found in their house in Hedemora on Saturday. Police have previously said that they may have been killed on Thursday.
