Twenty dogs die in farmhouse blaze
Around 20 dogs were burnt to death when a farm near Skepparslöv outside Kristianstad caught fire on Friday evening, reported local media.
The fire probably began in the farmhouse, where earlier on Friday work had been carried out on the roof, and then spread to a storage barn.
Both the house and the outhouse were completely destroyed. Other than the dogs, nobody was in the building when the fire broke out.
The burnt-out farmhouse was from the 18th century and was known as the old poorhouse in Skepparslöv.
