Fire causes temporary closure of E4 motorway
Traffic came to a standstill on Thursday afternoon when the E4 motorway was closed as a result of a fire at a petrol station in the Stockholm suburb of Bredäng.
Traffic in both directions was stopped temporarily but emergency services gave the all clear to reopen the road at around 3.45pm.
"Traffic is of course moving slowly," said police spokeswoman Ann-Charlotte Wejnäs.
The fire broke out at a disused Shell service station at 2.40pm. Fire services sent ten fire engines and 33 firemen to contain the powerful blaze.
