In the interview, published in Kupé magazine, Labero had said it was difficult for a “blond Swedish Viking” to break through in Las Vegas, which was controlled by “Jewish business syndicates, American dollar millionaires and homosexual booking agents.”
His words provoked fierce criticism in the Swedish media. In an interview published in tabloid Expressen on Sunday, Labero apologized.
“I want to ask everyone I hurt for forgiveness,” he said.
He added that he usually reads through interviews before they are published, but failed to do so this time. He said he found it hard to explain why he made the comments.
“Everyone has the right to make a mistake. This was a big mistake on my part. To be honest, I don’t understand why I did what I did. Looking at it afterwards in print it’s incomprehensible,” he told the paper.
