The internet has revolutionised the way consumers shop and it seems that drug dealers have now understood the benefits: it is becoming increasingly common for drugs to be smuggled into Sweden using the regular post service.

"Internet dealing is increasing explosively - people order drugs on the net and they get sent in the mail directly to the home," Jonas Carlsson at Swedish Customs' intelligence unit told Dagens Nyheter.

In 2004 Sweden's post customs confiscated 776 parcels containing narcotics. By 2006 that number had risen to 1,280 and in the first six months of 2007 drugs had been found in 920 letters and parcels.
