Four people were injured on Friday night during a police chase in Malmö. Two of those taken to hospital had serious injuries.

The accident happened after the car passed a police speed check at over 100 kilometres per hour. A police motorbike followed the car, but stopped to wait for reinforcements. The car continued driving away from the police, but hit a lamppost on Lantmannagatan.

The female driver and one passenger sustained serious injuries, although their lives were said by emergency services not to be in danger. The other two passengers were slightly injured. The driver is suspected of dangerous driving.
