Broken bottle leads to cut throat in Stockholm bar

A Wild West-inspired bar brawl at Kvarnen in southern Stockholm left a 24-year old man near death after being stabbed in the neck with a broken bottle.

The wound penetrated one of the 24-year old's main arteries, leaving him in critical condition for several hours.

His condition had stabilized by early Friday morning, according to police.

The attacker, a 34-year old stranger who had charged out on the dance floor amidst the melee, was later arrested and charged with serious assault.
