A kiosk in western Stockholm was destroyed on Sunday by a joyrider driving a wheel loader.

A 30-year-old man spent Sunday morning wreaking havoc in the Stockholm suburb of Hässelby Strand. Several lamp posts were destroyed in his wake and a kiosk was overturned.

He was apprehended by police after he had crashed the wheel loader that he had been driving into the wall of house. The man is suspected of unlawful driving and causing damage to property.

"One can say that the man gave new meaning to the phrase to "turn over" a store," said Christer Persson at Stockholm police.

Police suspect that the vehicle was stolen.
