Explosion rattles Gothenburg school

An explosion rocked the Västerhed school in the Västra Frölunda suburb of Gothenburg late Tuesday night.

Several windows were blown out and a wall was damaged by the powerful blast.

“It was a major explosion and many saw a flash of light. We suspect that it was an attack,” said Mats Jarlhede of the Västra Götaland police to the TT news agency.

Police technicians were investigating the scene over night.

The incident has been classified as a crime inflicting gross damage.
