The Djungeltrumman club editor's tips.

Café Rasoir

Address: Café le fil du rasoir, Norra Vallgatan 62

9pm – 1am

Free entry until 10pm, 90 kronor later

Age: 20 and over

This French-sounding gem is located right down at the bottom of the Hotel Savoy. The club has attracted work weary Malmö residents for atmospheric tête à têtes over a glass of red wine. Given that it's a steakhouse, there are oysters, snails and entrecôte on offer. But you can just as easily go there to enjoy a classic cocktail in the award-winning bar section. By night this is a meting place for the city's representative's of bohemian chic, discussing important matters in the glow of candlelight.

Tonight

RevK plays disco from Italy, Finland, Germany, France, Ethiopia and more or less every other country you can think of. Cocktails of the week: Brandy Alexander and Godfather.

Decades

Address: Retro, Norra Skolgatan 24

10pm - 3am

Free entry

Age: 18 and over

Do your favourite records come from the Factory or Creation labels? Do you feel out of place in modern-day Malmö and feel you belong instead in Manchester circa 1982? Just how many times have you seen 24 Hour Party People? Go to Retro's cellar, where you can form an understanding with people who are equally misunderstood.

First Class Riot

Address: Kulturbolaget, Bergsgatan 18

11.30pm - 4am

60 kronor (20 kronor before 12.30)

Age: 18 and over

Website

What do Daft Punk, Hanson, Stone Roses and Broder Daniel have in common? Maybe not so much at first glance, but they are all artists you can expect to hear at First Class Riot. It's all about pop music here, with the occasional bit of soul, rock, hip hop slipping through the cracks as the exception that proves the rule.

Swim Fast Club

Address: Debaser Malmö, Norra Parkgatan 2

7pm - 3am

Free entry before 10pm, 90 kronor after

Age: 20 and over

It's not east to keep up with Swim Fast Club. With a sixth sense that borders on the supernatural, the club is always first with the latest. Apart form finding out all about what's going on, Swim Fast also ensures plenty of ecstatic dancing to its more or less patented mix of electro and indie.

Tonight

Futurecop! (UK). Manzur Iqbal and Peter Carroll from Futurecop flirt wildly with the 80s with their electronic music produced in Iqbal's basement.

Underlandet

Address: Brogatan, Brogatan 12

11pm - 3am

Free entry

Where Alice in Wonderland hunts a rabbit, club manager Emil Broomé in Wonderland hunts disco. When you've finished your botanic experimentation among the fine selection of beers upstairs, it's time to go down to the cellar, sorry - Wonderland - and hypno-dance to obscure disco. Then it's time for an after-party with the author with the bushy hair.

Tonight

DJ Tiaz.
