The police were alerted just before six am, and told there was a shooting at Industrigatan, a street in central Malmö.
One of the injured men was still on the spot when the police arrived, and was taken to the hospital by ambulance. The other shot man had already made his own way to Skåne University Hospital.
According to the hospital, the first man’s condition is still life-threatening, reported the Aftonbladet newspaper.
“One of the men is severely injured, and the other has less grave injuries,” said police spokesman Jimmy Modin to the TT news agency.
As of yet, the police have little information about what preceded the shooting.
“We have patrols everywhere working on it. We’re interviewing people on the scene, and at the hospital to speak with the injured men,” Magnus Svensson of the Malmö police force told Aftonbladet.
The area around the central underground club has been cordoned off by the police, who on Saturday morning were performing a technical investigation of the area.
The police have yet to make any arrests, and currently have no suspects.
