Swedish tourism is a growing industry, fresh statistics have found, with a four-percent increase in visitors to Sweden last year.
Tourism in Sweden turned over 284 billion kronor last year, according to a new report published by the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth (Tillväxtverket) on Wednesday.

International visitors accounted for 106 billion kronor of that total, a 160-percent increase compared to figures from 2000.

The majority of visitors came from Sweden's neighbouring countries, but Asia showed significant signs of growth.
