Stockholm's embracing the silver screen, Umeå's swaying to Swedish Rock music and Malmö's in a spin this week.

The Stockholm International Film Festival has already swept into the Swedish capital, embracing a theme of Hope as it celebrates its 25th anniversary. Running until November 16th it is showcasing fresh directing talent from Sweden and around the world and will also be honouring Uma Thurman and one of Sweden's brightest future acting stars.
 
Quit your summer jogging routine and feeling like you want to to nest for the rest of the winter? Yes us too. But you can act like a true Swede and get yourself to Scandinavia's largest health fair this weekend, which is also happening in Stockholm. There are more than 200 free seminars on topics from nutrition to yoga.
 
In northern Sweden, capital of culture Umeå is hosting one of the region's best loved female rock artists - grammy award winning Lisa Miskovsky. The multi-talented singer, who is currently based in the city, has also been on the Swedish National Snowboard team and worked as a sports reporter during the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.
 
 
Music fans in Kristianstad and Malmö can get a slice of minimalist Icelandic indie folk. One of the hottest bands to come out of the freezing Arctic in recent years, Arstidir will be flaunting their fiddles over the weekend.
 
Love cars? Get yourself Skåne's biggest car exhibition, which has just opened in Malmö. Framtidens Fordon is showcasing classic cars and promising futuristic inspiration.
