From a captive nation to the EU Chairmanship
A seminar with the ambassador of Latvia, Peter Sköld from Arcum and Kjetil Duvold from Dalarna University College.
Gints Jegermanis is the ambassador of Latvia to Sweden since August 2013. Started his career at the Latvian Academy of Sciences, and his merits also include leading positions in media and the Latvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Jegermanis has also been Ambassador of Latvia to Estonia and Denmark, and for five years in the beginning of the millenium he was Permanent Representative of Latvia to UN in New York.
Ambassador Jegermanis will focus on three issues: history of the Latvian people and land, where Latvians stand in the European and global context culturally and what their EU Presidency plans are.
