Jan. 15: Varieties of Democracy data release event (Gothenburg)
This will be the premier World release of the new V-Dem dataset: 15 million data point on democracy covering 173 countries, 350 indicators, 34 democracy-indices, and 115 years of history.
Presenters: Professor & Director of the V-Dem Institute Staffan I. Lindberg, Univarsity of Gothenburg and Professor & V-Dem co-PI Svend-Erik Skaaning, University of Aarhus introduce the dataset and its construction, use the dataset to provide unique insights to the democratic developments in the world today, and show some of the exciting results just produced by members of the global V-Dem team of scholars.
