New coronavirus guidelines expected for over-70s
Swedish health authorities are expected to present new coronavirus guidelines for "young elderly" people, in other words people who are aged over 70 but are healthy, later today.

"We will return to that question tomorrow," Public Health Agency state epidemiologist Anders Tegnell told the Swedish health authorities’ joint daily press conference on Monday. "Another few hours are needed to put together a good message which is easy to understand and which has been coordinated with everyone."
Sweden has since March 27th had guidelines in place that urge all elderly people to limit direct social contact. It's still fine (and even encouraged) to go out for walks, but you should avoid places with several people, including shops, public transport, pharmacies, friends' or family members' houses, and public places.
But the Public Health Agency has hinted that it may issue more lenient advice for over-70s, if they have no underlying health conditions that may put them at risk of serious illness if infected with the coronavirus.
"We believe that Swedes are healthier when they are 70 years old than the Chinese and Italians, and it would perhaps then be possible to move the (age) limit," Tegnell told the Dagens Nyheter newspaper last week.
