The cat's owner discovered what had happened when just a few minutes remained of the programme.
She told local public radio station P4 Halland that the cat – Max – was alive but in a poor state and not moving when they opened the machine.
They took him to the veterinarian and after three days Max had recovered enough that he was able to return home.
His owner said that she thought Max would be traumatised after his ordeal, but that he seems to be back to normal.
"He has probably used up most of his cat lives," she said.
