Strikers at Tesla plants in Malmö and Uppsala have reportedly been told to cancel their more than two-year-long strike against the electric car manufacturer, the newspaper Dagens Industri has reported.
According to the newspaper, the union IF Metall has reportedly told members to cancel the industrial action at those plants and go back to work. Swedish newswire TT has been in contact with IF Metall, who do not confirm or deny the information.
"We have no comment on anything. We are in a position in the conflict where we cannot comment on what is happening now. But the conflict is not over," said Jesper Pettersson, a press spokeswoman at IF Metall.
Pettersson told TT that the union is "prepared to sit down with Tesla and negotiate a collective agreement".
Meanwhile, the newspaper Dagens Arbete has reported that IF Metall will introduce new measures into their strike strategy which were communicated internally on Wednesday.
According to the newspaper, this strategy "will take the conflict further".
