Internal government emails obtained by The Local show the European Commission pressuring Sweden over treatment of vulnerable British citizens, following media reports of deportation orders given to a 78-year-old woman and a man with Alzheimer’s.

They was following orders. The order was to say nothing. December 2021: a Social Democratic government’s watch. Nobody was ordered to warn 4,000 people. Other countries wrote to their British residents. Sweden chose not to, then deported them for not knowing. Chilling.
