More than half of the Swedish population, 51%, say their trust in life insurance companies is "very low", revealed Dagens Nyheter on Monday.
AMF Pension recently carried out a survey that showed that only 7 per cent of Swedes actually trust their insurance company fully. The reason was said to be that recent deals have left investors short and people are also concerned about the high bonuses given to executives within the companies.
"It's evident that life insurance companies have to clean up their reputation", said Anna Allerstrand, Consultant at AMS Pension.
