A man suspected of murdering his partner at their home in Gothenburg over the weekend was taken into police custody early on Monday morning after he called telling them of her death.
“He said that he killed his partner,” said Thomas Fuxborg, police spokesman, to Dagens Nyheter.
When police arrived at the couple’s apartment in the Hisingen area of the city, the man came out and turned himself in without protest. There were also four young children in the apartment.
“When we came up to the apartment, the woman was lying dead in the flat,” Fuxborg said.
Police are not giving additional information due to the ongoing investigation.
