A man was found dead on Sunday morning on a street in the Hisingen area of Gothenburg.
"A man was shot and died of his injuries," a spokesman for police in the city said.
"We have started a murder investigation," said Britt Hermansson of Västra Götaland police.
The police were alerted at 4:30am on Sunday. It is so far unclear whether there were any witnesses to the crime.
