A man dressed as Santa Claus was involved in three unsolved robberies in western Sweden on Thursday night.

The gung-ho ho ho thief, aided by two assistants, raided a perfume store in Falkenberg, a garage in Hylte and a clothes shop in Kungsbacka.

"Maybe he had run out of presents," police spokesman Niklas Andersson told Hallands Nyheter.

The festive criminals do not appear to have had a Dasher, Donner or Blitzen at their disposal. Instead they made off in a different car for each crime: a white Volvo, a silver Volvo and a blue Audi.

The thieves managed to escape to a secret hideaway, perhaps a grotto, and had not been found by Friday morning.
