Carin Wester, Rörstrandsgatan 40
Swedish designer Carin Wester is known for simple, clean, classic designs that are a staple among contemporary Swedish men and women. You can expect to find mostly muted tones of grey, black and white, though periodical splashes of colour brighten up collections.
Wester graduated from Stockholm’s Beckman’s College of Design in 1998 and began her career in fashion working at Paul & Friends. After eight seasons there, she started her own line in 2003. One year later, she was named ‘Newcomer of the Year’ by Swedish Elle magazine, and the following year they nominated her designer of the year.
Wester has a women’s line, men’s line, and exclusive hand-made line called “W;” they are all designed in Sweden and produced in Italy, China and Portugal. The label can be found in various stores around the world, but the Rörstrandsgatan flagship store is home to extra unique designs hot off the runway.
