Terrible news, on top of that, it's going to start during wintertime when most of the delays and issues happen :/

Well that sux. I like the SJ trains, while they are older, they are far more comfortable, seat more passengers than the Mälartåg ones which are all sparkle and weird angles.

How is this possible? How does the millions add up? These trains are always packed - especially during rush hour. Workers need to have access to commuter transport. How are “other” trains staying profitable but not SJ? Really sad - especially when Uppsala is expanding the stops. Horrible

From trial and error clicking through the booking system looks like the last southbound service might be 16th October. Would never have known that was ending, so tack for the heads up Emma - it’s a lovely way to have an uninterrupted sleep down to Göteborg so I’ll try and make use of that if possible before it goes. I love SJ trains and staff but honestly it feels like the company is trolling me sometimes with things like ticket release dates and seemingly random timetable changes. Might be more the fault of Trafikverket but hard to tell.

They do not run twice an hour, is just every hour, and they are always packed. Is there any possibility that this will be re-negotiated or is the decision final? It certainly affects many of us.
