I'm waiting already 6 month for decision. If they want put it on hold for 3 year and then wait again how many year? I am asking myself everyday, wtf I am doing here. Education is awful, helthcare is kind of come to us if you are dying otherwise drink water. Green paranoia simply killed nuclear power and everyone has to pay for the government's fucked up decisions. The railroad is just a disgrace, traveling by car is cheaper when you're two people, and if you have kids, forget about trains.

Delaying citizenship applications won’t fix Sweden’s real problems like organized crime or integration because citizenship isn’t the issue. Crime stems from inequality, poor enforcement, and lack of opportunity—none of which this policy even touches. Punishing law-abiding people who followed the rules undermines trust and alienates communities that should be contributing. This plan doesn’t solve anything; it just scapegoats immigrants, distracts from real solutions to Sweden’s deeper problems.

I have two questions that I hope could be clarified eventually. 1- Can they actually do this within the legal frameworks? How much authority does the government have to act alone on these matters? 2- What do they exactly want to do? What constitutes a "slow down"? I wish they would stop using ambiguous and unclear planing just to get some votes from some questionable members of society.

Politicians are manipulating citizens for votes, and it’s working. The 3-year waiting time hasn’t solved any issues, and extending it to 8 years will only deter skilled expats who contribute from day one. Qualified professionals have other options, like the UK or Ireland, where conditions are better. This policy targets expats, not real problems. Citizens, don’t let fear tactics distract you from the government’s failure to address real issues. You’re being misled for votes.

According to the crisis booklet we received this month , they have stated that other countries citizens should fight for Sweden in case of a war . If the government expects expat taxpayers to stand up for Sweden , it’s only fair that Sweden also stands up for us expats who are in the process of legally becoming citizens fulfilling the requirements.
