There's nothing new about these long length padded coats - they were all the rage in the fashion meccas of Italy and France back in 1999/2000 and their popularity lasted a long time, in fact I seem to remember them being on sale every winter in France for the past couple of decades. At the beginning of their popularity they were often black, but you could find other colours too, I had one in a kind of dark violet or wine colour. I lived in Rome at the time and then moved to Paris - around 90% of the female population in both cities was wearing them. Today I have a cream coloured one. It's very warm and snug. Alice Aveshagen clearly needs to brush up on some fashion history and stop degrading her fellow women citizens. One might accuse her of parochial bigotry.

I read this article and couldn't control myself looking at every mammakorv back home from work yesterday. Jokes apart, every individual has the right to wear what they want, and calling them names based on what they wear sounds rude to me. I felt so because of the term mamma being used, rather it could have been korvjacka.
