Hey Jack and Kaveh , Often when I do post comments that do align with the view of the articles also are not aproved as well . I think it depends on who is writing the invidual article and perhaps some writers have less time to check the comments for aproval or perhaps some writers probably follow there " civil constructive on topic terms of use" comment policy more then other writers , I don't know what ther the "civil constructive on topic terms of use" services really are but they do say they exist under the "civil constructive on topic terms of use" I have also noticed some bug in the system using iphone in the past but it has gotten better . I have defenetly seen zero of my comments apear on the podcast comment section on the app version ever apear, actually I don't think I have ever read a comment on the postcast comment section on the app version using my old iphone. I do think if the comment is even related in a small way to the discussion on the podcadt it should be posted in my subjective opinion. Even if Jack and I have have usually the oposite opinions I think its fair to show both sides of hard subjects. Like my post about "a biking tunnel build in the emergency extit tunel of the fully automated new metro that runs 7 days a week 24 h a day between Copenhagen and Malmö" probably will probably never be shared :( and your posts that Sweden has to many immigrants will probably never be shared also. It would be great if they shared on the next podcast what there "civil constructive on topic terms of use" actually are :) I do believe immigrants make Sweden better for the record and it's ok that you do not Jack, living in free country gives us that right. :)
  • Thanks for commenting! We approve the vast majority of comments, in fact including the comment you mentioned, but there must be some kind of tech problem here. Your biking tunnel comment appears for me on desktop and our Android app, but for some reason not on our iOS app. I'm afraid I don't know why (sorry!), but I'm passing it on to the tech team. We definitely don't have an editorial stance on whether or not there should be a bike lane between Malmö and Copenhagen!
Jack (the real jack)
Hi Kaveh, You are right. The local and I believe certain authors in particular often fail to approve comments that don't align with their political views and agendas. I often try to introduce slightly different perspective on the changes to the immigration laws and the wonderful Swedish culture and achievements, especially in science and business. Sometimes not approved.... It seems many are afraid of dialogue. Jack.

I am using the app with an old iPhone and only see the last 3 comments . I think this must be fixed so we can all comments on the App asap . in took months before I clicked on the arrow to be able to see the last 3 comments. I have still never managed to see more then the 3 newest comments I was thinking that the comments where only sent to staff for ever and not posted externally. It's embarrassing but only realised the comments this month . I don't think we are the only two with this problem. Even if wrote the opposite opinion we both problems with the comments.
  • You're right. I can see all comments on desktop and the Android app, but not on the iPhone app. That's strange. I'll ask the tech team to look into it. Thanks both for bringing it to my attention!

a while ago I wrote a comment here mentioning that I believe it’s a great decision and that I hope they move forward with it quite fast which clearly has been censored by the local either for personal preferences or not being politically aligned with your views. this experience has been repeated to many times and leads me to the conclusion that it’s clearly intentional. it’s a shame and I won’t continue my subscription to the local and won’t suggest it to anyone for being very politically biased, specifically towards the far left.
  • I'm not sure exactly which comment you're referring to, but there is a comment from you on this article, from yesterday, which reads: "excellent! a bit late but better late than never. I hope they move forward with it very quickly. Make Sweden safe again!" It's published and visible in the comments thread.

I understand that crime is very bad and the lose of innocent people lives is very very very tragic alway. Also people who commit crime should go to jail. I also feel that this is the start of creating two classes of citizens. People who only have a Swedish passport can never be kicked out because of international law. But an Australian-Swedish citizen who is criminal can lose there citizenship but never some one who is only Swedish. Even if the Australian-Swedish person has never been to Australia he will be deported. It will start with big crimes in 30 years the will take away citizenships for small crime as well. This will get worse and worse. If Sweden open this gate Sweden will never be same ever.
