Buying a house in Stockholm municipality will set you back nearly 9 million kronor ‒ more than in almost any other municipality in Sweden. But you only need a 40-minute commute to find a house at literally half the price.

I lived in Märsta, and whatever discount you gain in price you waste in cancelled pendeltågs, taxis, owning a car, and commute time if you work in the city - or in the ”village” quality of life if you don’t. Then it’s better to move to Dalarna/Småland
