Experience Swedish contemporary crafts during Stockholm Craft Week. For four days, Stockholm and neighbouring Värmdö will be filled with events, seminars and exhibitions. Private and public galleries, museums and studios will open their doors to highlight the exceptional and multifaceted art.
Dedication of White Boats Holocaust Memorial Monument
Where: Northern Jewish Cemetery, Jewish Chapel Road 1-3, Solna. Directions: Bus 515 from Odenplan to Linvävartorpet, then less than 100 metres to the cemetery.
When: October 6th, 10am
All are welcome to attend the dedication of the Memorial Monument in memory of those who came to Sweden with the White Boats in June-July 1945, and who died shortly thereafter. Rabbi Ute Steyer from the Jewish congregation in Stockholm; Victoria Martínez, researcher and secretary-general of the Swedish Holocaust Memorial Association; and Roman Wasserman Wroblewski, son of a Holocaust survivor and initiator of the monument, will lead the ceremony, followed by a guided tour of the individual graves, where the victims' fates during the Holocaust will be described. The British Embassy and their counterparts in the Swedish government are hosting a town hall meeting for British nationals in Sweden. There will be a briefing about Brexit followed by a Q&A session. Admission is free, but places are limited so it is required to sign up beforehand.

A glamorous feast of normbreaking, extravagant, feministic stage art in burlesque, cabaret, circus, live music, boylesque and drag together with parties, workshops and charity gala Octbooberfest – Tasseltwirl Championship by the "creme de la creme" of international burlesque artists from 16 countries and four continents.
Engaged Journalism in Sweden: Listening and Co-creating with Readers

The Local would like to invite journalists, or anyone who wants to learn more about Engaged Journalism, for an afternoon of presentations and discussion about community-driven journalism – and refreshments. Learn about the Swedish Tax System

The taxes paid in Sweden cover a number of services and benefits that are unique to living in Sweden. The tax agency also provides other services such as executing Swedish identity cards as well as registering new businesses. At this event, a tax information officer will talk about these services and answer questions. Just keep in mind that he may not be able to get into details.
GOTHENBURG
Brexit WTF! At GEST, Kulturnatta

Gothenburg English Studio Theatre (GEST) presents Brexit WTF! Rehearsed readings from a divided nation. The scripts, written by some of the UK's most well-known playwrights, including James Graham, Stacey Gregg and Charlene James, explore the temperature of the country and reveal individual stories in a divided Britain. Followed by an after-show discussion with the actors about the readings and all things Brexit.
