When it comes to immigration none of these parties, including social democrats can be trusted. They say one thing and do another. At the end of the day, they will do anything to get votes.

Couldn't agree more with Iain. If the members of the L party are truly disgusted by the capitulation of their leader. They should now vote against the SD led govt proposals due to be voted on soon. That may be a better way to get people to vote for your party. Rather than caving!

“given opportunities to stay” - sounds very human, i guess only temporarily, as JA want..

It’s a testament to how lust for power compromises/blinds supposedly intelligent politicians when a female party leader from a Muslim, immigrant background is willing to support a party whose central tenets are anti-women’s rights, anti-immigration and anti-Islam, just to stay in government. It beggars belief, frankly.

If the party indeed implodes over this, are there signs for at least 2-3 L MPs who might force adding translational rules for the citizenship reform?
